LUKE 14:17
"and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, 'Come, for all things are now ready."
Welcome to our website! It is our desire and prayer that you will always be blessed and encouraged, every time you visit.
Ps 34:3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together.
At the very beginning of this Psalm David declares his intentions to bless the Lord at all times and to, continually, keep His praises in his mouth. He then makes a call to the humble, inviting them to join him in giving praise. He is asking those who are grateful for all that God has done, to come together and begin to express, in song, their gratitude. He is calling them to come with an attitude of thanksgiving. David wants to "magnify" the Lord and is asking the humble to join him. To "magnify" is to intensify, to enlarge, to make bigger, to make greater. (Webster) To "magnify" the Lord is to speak, with a loud voice, about all the good things that He ha done. It is to speak about all of His kndness and generosity. It is to speak of how great He is. The humble will magnify the Lord. the humble will not forget al the things that God has done. The humble will always know that it is with God, through God, in God and with god. The humble know that without Him we can do nothing. In Ephesians 1:3, we are told that we are to bless the "God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who has blessed us in Christ with every Spiritual blessing in the heavenly places." Who has blessed you lately, like God has? We are to magnify the Lord.
We need to ask ourselves: Who are we magnifying? Are we magnifying ourselves? Are we magnifying an individual? Are we magnifying our ministries? Are we magnifying our accomplishments, as if we had done it all on our own? Are we magnifying a relationship, more than we magnify our relationship with God. Are we magnifying a trial, a test, a problem or a circumstance? God s greater than our problems. God is greater than any difficulty, any illness, and any attack. God is greater! Let's begin to speak about the goodness of God,t he faithfulness of god and the mighty Power of God to save, heal, deliver and set free. We are not to "think" praise, we are to open our mouths and sing praises to His name. Others will hear us praising God, exalting His name in the midst of our worst circumstances and be glad. They too will be encouraged. They are listening. It is a good thing to keep conpany with people who love to exalt the Lord with you. People who are in the Word, hear the Word, do the Word and speak the Word.
The image you are seeing through your magnifyer should be clear, refleccting God's image. If the image is distorted and you are not seeing what you want to see, clean your magnifier. Clean your mind, your spiritual eyes and your mouth with the water of the Word, and begin to speak about the goodness of God. This is why David would always pray that the words of his mouth and the meditation of his heart would be pleasing unto God. David knew that what we think and say will greatly impact our lives. Look again! You will be very pleased with what you see. You will begin to see the many reasons you have for magnifying the Lord. During this Christmas season, remember that Jesus is the One we need to magnify above all gifts, events, programs and family fatherings. It is God's will that we enjoy all of these, but always remember to magnify the Lord above all things. May God continue to bless you and your families! We at Come and Dine Ministries pray that you will continue to be blessed with the very best. May God bless you this Christmas Season as you seek to find those who will come and magnify the Lord with you!
Faithfully His,
Pastor Carmen
