“Psalms 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
Psalms 19:8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
Psalms 19:9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
Psalms 19:10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

How many times do we hear about the Bible, “that old book – no one reads that anymore. ” “That is just so old fashioned.” “Who believes that stuff anymore anyway?”
But for those of us who know the old book, we cherish and love every word it contains. We realize with the psalmist that it is more than just a tired old book. It contains words that are life. Words that are comfort. Words that give us peace and hope. The truth it contains is something we can rely on. It is constant and never changes.
We can say with the psalmist the Word of God is more to be desired than the finest pure gold. It is sweeter than honey from the honeycomb.
